ABOUT AGRA
AGRA is an absolutely beautiful city offering a discovery of the beautiful era. Agra has a rich own history, reflected in its numerous monuments dotted in and around the city. The Modern Agra was founded by Sikandra Lodi, ruler of Lodi dynasty in 16th century. on the banks of Yamuna. Eventually, in the Battle of Panipat, in 1526, Mughal emperor, Babur took over the state and ruled his kingdom from Agra. During his rule and under his patronage, Agra saw its golden years with grand architecture, and skillful artistry, which would become benchmarks for Indian art in the years to come.
Post Babur, such creative initiative skipped a generation, until Akbar took the onus of reinstating the prestige of the Mughal Empire in Agra, with his artistic vision and patronage. During his rule, Akbar laid the foundation of Agra Fort. He also extended the influence beyond the city and built Fatehpur Sikri, with palatial monuments and grand constructions
Agra was bejewelled with beautiful palaces and verdant gardens by Jahangir, while the glorious city adorned its real glory during the reign of Shahjahan, who gifted the city with the world-famous TAJ MAHAL. Not only the Mughals, but there were also a lot of other rulers who contributed significantly towards the vibrant heritage and history of Agra. The city offers a trail of fascinating tombs and mausoleums to explore. Acclaimed for its lavish crafts like Pietra Dura (marble inlay) work, rugs and leather goods, and the luscious Petha, Agra equally caters well to shopaholics and foodies.
ITINERARY
DAY 1: Welcome to Jaipur (Pink City)
Pickup from Jaipur airport/station, Hotel Check in after some relaxation Proceed to the beautiful Pink City of Jaipur, Visit Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, City Palace Jaipur, The Jal Mahal, Getor, Kanak Vrindavan, Raj Mandir Cinema, Birla Mandir, Albert Hall Museum Chokhi Dhani (Optional) after that you are free to explore Pink city vibrant Market and colourful city. Night Hotel Stay.
Attraction: Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, City Palace Jaipur, Jal Mahal, Local Market
Day 2: Sightseeing of palaces and forts
After breakfast, will proceed to Amer Fort, Panna Meena ka Kund, Mawtha lake, Jaigarh Fort, Nahar Garh Fort. Night Hotel Stay
Day 3: Jaipur – Agra Via Fatehpur Sikri (240km 4 -5 Hrs.)
Start the tour after early breakfast to AGRA via Fatehpur Sikri the World Heritage Site of Fatehpur Sikri. Here, explore Jama Masjid, Buland Darwaza / the “Door of Victory” the highest gateway in the world, was built in 1575 by Mughal emperor Akbar, there is famous Dargah Salim Chisty, Deewane Khas, Jodha Bai Palace. After that, continue your journey from Jaipur to Agra. On arrival, check into the hotel, after some relaxation will explore the whereabouts of the local market, buying souvenirs and handicrafts. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 4: Agra (Local Sightseeing)
After taken early breakfast will move for local sightseeing. Taj Mahal, The Majestic Agra Fort and Itimad-Ud-Daulah’s tomb. Finally, enjoy shopping in the evening and explore the whereabouts of the local market, buying souvenirs and handicrafts. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 3 – Agra – Delhi Via Sikandra. (230 Km )
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and visit Mughals’ finest creations: Sikandra, The Tomb of Great Mughal Ruler AKBAR. after that continue journey to DELHI hotel check in and night stay at hotel
Day 5 – Delhi (Local Sightseeing)
After breakfast, enjoy your sightseeing in the Capital City of India – New Delhi which includes – Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, Rajghat, Jama Mosque, RED Fort, later evening free to visit Sarojni Market or Connaught Place for Shopping, later come back to the hotel and overnight stay at the hotel in Delhi.
Day 5 – Delhi (Journey over)
After breakfast, check out from the hotel, and as per your time scheduled our driver will drop you at Delhi International Airport/ Railway station with some good and precious memories. Proceed to own destination
